This year the format for these meetings will be different in some states.
Domestic issues will now be integrated into the agenda of the meetings in Victoria, South Australia and Queensland, where the meetings will commence at 11am and finish at 3pm.
In Western Australia, the meeting will begin at 9am and finish at 3pm with domestics issues being dealt with first.
In NSW, the domestic processors will have a separate meeting in large part to deal with new State legislation effecting the industry.
The purpose of these meetings is to:

facilitate communication between industry and regulators
-
identify QA training requirements for industry
-
facilitate food safety and technical research being broadcast to the industry
-
conduct professional development sessions to address immediate and specific information requirements of QA managers.
The meeting agendas are determined by industry input and current issues. Suggestions for agenda items are welcome and can be emailed to kchristensen@mintrac.com.au or faxed to 02 9819 6099.
