Developing an enterprise training system in the Australian meat industry - This booklet has been developed to provide advice and guidance for meat enterprises considering introducing, or extending the range of accredited training into their workplace. The booklet provides an overview of the Australian national training system, advice on how to prepare and structure a training program that suits both enterprise and individual requirements, how to select a Registered Training Organisation and hints on how to integrate and continuously improve the company training system.

Delivering training in a meat processing plant -This handbook has been developed to assist newly appointed trainers in meat processing plants. As well as providing guidance and tips for trainers as they commence their new roles, the booklet provides a guide through the maze of educational terms and organisations associated with vocational education and training. It also describes the many support networks and services available to assist trainers.

Basic Meat Industry Training Skills Set Information Booklet - This is information booklet to help companies and RTOs implement the Basic Meat Industry Training Skills Set. It covers: how the skills set can be used; what funding is available; collection of statistics; available resources for use with the skills set; how to issue a certificate.

Apply Quality Assurance Practices -This CD supports the delivery of MTMMP3C Apply Quality Assurance practices unit of competency from the compulsory core units at AQF 2. This CD can be used in association with other activities to provide some of the knowledge components associated with the unit. This CD is suitable for use in the Abattoirs, Meat Retail, Smallgoods and Food Services sectors. Available now in Tagalog, Mandarin, Portuguese, Malaysian and Vietnamese.

Follow safe work policies and procedures - This CD supports the delivery of MTMMP4C Follow safe work policies and procedures unit of competency from the compulsory core units at AQF 2. This CD can be used in association with other activities to provide some of the knowledge components associated with the unit. This CD is suitable for use in the Abattoirs, Meat Retail, Smallgoods and Food Services sectors. Available now in Tagalog, Mandarin, Portuguese, Malaysian and Vietnamese.

Traineeship induction kit – updated version – This kit introduces trainees to a traineeship and contains a DVD on assessment, PowerPoint presentation, traineeship fact sheet, and career development material.

Induction manual - Primarily for induction personnel in meat processing companies, wanting to implement a new induction program, or those wanting to improve an existing one. This manual includes one and five-day induction models, as well as tips for improving induction, examples of checklists, session plans and activity statements, and strategies for evaluating the induction program after it has been implemented.

Overview of the Meat Industry - This interactive CD introduces the trainee to the meat industry and covers much of the underpinning knowledge required to complete the unit MTMMP6C Overview the Meat Industry. This CD is suitable for use in the Abattoirs, Meat Retail, Smallgoods and Food Services sectors. Available now in Tagalog, Mandarin, Portuguese, Malaysian and Vietnamese.

Hygiene and Sanitation - This CD supports the delivery of MTMMP2C Apply hygiene and sanitation practices unit of competency from the compulsory core units at AQF 2. Knife maintenance, safety and hygiene - This training video is for trainees or existing workers. The video shows the processes involved in maintaining a sharp knife and covers the safety and hygiene aspects. It can be used by all sectors of the meat industry. Also available on DVD.

Maintain personal equipment - This CD supports the delivery of MTMMP1C Maintain personal equipment unit of competency from the compulsory core units at AQF 2. This CD can be used in association with other activities to provide some of the knowledge components associated with the unit. This CD is suitable for use in the Abattoirs, Meat Retail, Smallgoods and Food Services sectors. Available now in Tagalog, Mandarin, Portuguese, Malaysian and Vietnamese.

Career development handbook –This handbook is primarily for meat industry personnel wanting to plan a career pathway in the industry. The handbook can also be used by human resource managers working with company personnel to develop career pathways, develop training plans or as part of the performance appraisal and management process.
