MINTRAC will hold a webinar on two dates in April to provide
information about the recent changes to post-mortem inspection and disposition
techniques as set out in AMRG Guideline 2020:1 – Alternative techniques
guideline to Schedules 2 and 3 of AS 4696:2007.
The review has come up with a range of recommendations to
alter a number of post-mortem inspection techniques and dispositions. These have been agreed to by the State
Regulatory Authorities and are documented in guidelines.
The Australian Standard 4696:2007 provides for guidelines to
be read in conjunction with the standard and for equivalence to
processes/procedures prescribed in the standard to be demonstrated.
These guidelines are relevant only for domestic abattoirs at
this stage.
